THE DESIGN PROCESS

Designing a garden is a collaboration between the client and designer. At Price Adams Studio we work with you at every stage to make sure that you achieve the perfect garden.

Read through the process of creating your own garden from the initial meeting, to handing over the finished design to you.

Taking Notes

1 Initial Consultation

This is a conversation between you and our designer to find out how we can help you design your ideal outdoor space. We can show you examples of our work and answer any questions you might have.

Design process: nature, data, plans, surveying, soil

2 Survey & Analysis

This is carried out both in person and online, with research into your local area's history, planning restrictions, ecology, flood risk and much more. If projects require specialised surveys we can assist in organising these.

Masterplan and architectural renderings

3 Outline Design

Following the agreed brief, we design your dream garden. We produce a mood board, outline plan and examples of materials and plants.

This is supported by 2D and 3D visuals so the garden can really come to life.

Architectural plans

4 Detail Drawings

This includes construction drawings for hard landscaping elements, setting out plans, planting plans and a schedule of works.

This detail allows you to obtain reliable quotes and then for your chosen landscape contractor to build the garden as designed.

We can liaise with specialists, such as structural engineers and arboriculturists as needed.

Garden Pots And Flowers

5 Build and Planting

This is the really exciting time. Your chosen contractors will build your garden as designed by Price Adams Studio. We are available to help with setting out the plants and checking that the work is going to plan.
